Italian Roast is our darkest roast. We use strictly hard beans from South America and Indonesia that are able to stand up to an intense roasting temperature. In contrast to other roasters who use a lesser quality coffee, thinking this will be obscured by the dark roast, we use only the best grades of high-grown arabica beans. The difference is apparent. These dark and oily beans yield a very smoky and pungent brew that is a favorite for cappuccino and café latte.
