Kenya Nyeri Kangocho AA


Our Kenya Nyeri Kangocho AA is sourced from producer-members of the Gikanda Farmers Cooperative Society (Gikanda FCS) that deliver to the Kangocho Factory (wet mill). The Nyeri region is a central province of Kenya and is well known for their exceptional coffee crops grown at the foothills of Mt. Kenya and the Aberdare Mountain Range.

Gikanda FCS was founded in 1996 between the Kangocho, Gichatha-ini, and Ndaro-ini wet mills. The cooperative has over 3,ooo members, a third of which are women. Gikanda FCS aims for high quality coffees to create high payment rates so as to improve the livelihood of members. This is achieved by strict quality standards of production and responsive co-op governance to meet the needs of members.

Bold sweet and tart balance! Bright aroma with notes citrus and berry along with a hint of brown sugar and cocoa. Full, syrupy body. Focused in the cup with nuances of lemon, grapefruit, lime, orange, and blueberry along with a hint of florals, cocoa, and toffee.
