Italian (Espresso) Roast


Our darkest roast. Very intense, ebony coffee with pronounced smoky overtones.

Italian Roast, also known as Espresso Roast, is our darkest roast. We use strictly hard beans from Indonesia that are able to stand up to an intense roasting temperature. Some people believe using a lesser quality bean is acceptable for a dark roast, thinking the roast itself will obscure any unwanted nuances. We use only the best grades of high-grown arabica beans and the difference is apparent. These dark and oily beans yield a very smoky and pungent brew that is a favorite for cappuccino and café latte.
